The thermowell is a tubular piece with a closed end, which is used to protect the temperature sensor in processes where corrosion, high pressure, and vibration cause the temperature sensor to fail. The sensor is placed inside the thermowell, and in case of damage to the sensor or the need for repair and calibration, it can be removed easily and without the need to stop the process.
